2022 Empowering Women Together Fund

About

Let’s join together for women’s empowerment. Not only limited to women donors but calling any and all at Draper who may be personally motivated to support this noble cause or donate in honor of extraordinary women in your life. Our chosen funds address a range of issues from safety, community and advocacy in Cambridge to justice in our nation and the personal and professional needs impacting women’s dignity across the globe. In a nod to Draper’s mission, one even aims to save lives at scale by supporting digitally-empowered community health solutions. Gender equality is a human right, but our world faces a persistent gap in access to opportunities and decision-making power. Globally, no country has fully attained gender equality (U.S. ranks #19) and women's empowerment is a critical aspect of achieving it. Living Goods

Living Goods saves lives at scale by supporting digitally enabled community health workers who deliver care on call – making it easy for families in low- and middle-income countries to get the care they need. To achieve this, we leverage smart mobile technology and real-time data to optimize outcomes, performance, and accountability. We work closely with governments and partners to strengthen national community health systems. We ensure health workers are effectively compensated, suevised and equipped. We nimbly innovate to deliver the greatest health outcomes at the lowest cost. And we always aim for national scale, co-creating financing solutions to make universal health coverage a reality.

Dignity Matters Inc

Dignity Matters enables homeless and low income women and girls to stay healthy, regain self- confidence and live with basic dignity by providing them with monthly access to free menstrual care, underwear and bras.

National Womens Law Center

The National Women's Law Center fights for gender justice in the courts, in public policy, and in our society working across the issues that are central to the lives of women and girls. We use the law in all its forms to change culture and drive solutions to the gender inequity that shapes our society and to break down the barriers that harm all of us, especially women of color, LGBTQ people, and low-income women and families. For 50 years, we have been on the leading edge of every major legal and policy victory for women.

Cambridge Women's Center

The Cambridge Women's Center provides a supportive community space for all women by offering opportunities for empowerment, learning, healing, trauma support, and understanding.

Science Club for Girls, Inc.

Science Club for Girls fosters excitement, confidence, and literacy in STEM for girls and young women from underrepresented communities with free, experiential community-based programs. With women making up less than 26 percent of the STEM workforce and Black and Hispanic women at less than 4 percent, SCFG addresses a critical need, offering a continuum of engaging activities in STEM for K-8 girls, junior mentoring and leadership experiences for high school girls, and adult mentoring and role modeling by committed women with STEM careers.
