About

The IWD #Give to Gain Germany Fund brings together trusted organisations working to support women’s safety, wellbeing, and empowerment across Germany. Through a combination of protection services, counselling, community-building initiatives, and opportunities for personal growth, the fund helps ensure that women facing difficult circumstances can access safe spaces, guidance, and pathways toward stability and strength. By contributing to the IWD Germany Fund, donors help expand essential support systems for women and families—strengthening communities and advancing gender equality across the country.

Women can be admitted to the shelter together with their children and find a place of calm there. In addition, the D.I.K. – the Dresden Intervention and Coordination Centre – provides counselling to women and men experiencing domestic violence or stalking and supports them in developing further protective measures and options for action.

Ökumenisches Frauenzentrum Evas Arche e.V.

Evas Arche is an ecumenical communication, information, and counselling centre run by women for women*. It offers a protected space for exchange, encounters, and mutual empowerment. Founded by women* of different Christian denominations, Evas Arche combines spiritual, cultural, and social offerings and recognises women* in the full reality of their lives. The centre’s activities include events on women-relevant topics, spiritual formats, opportunities for social interaction, and individual counselling sessions. In addition, women can volunteer in various projects.

LARA-Verein gegen sexuelle Gewalt an Frauen* e.V.

The LARA association offers low threshold support for women, trans*, inter*, and non binary individuals aged 14 and above who have experienced sexualized violence. It is aimed at survivors of rape, sexual assault and abuse, as well as sexual harassment—regardless of whether these incidents occurred within partnerships, in the workplace, through friends, acquaintances, or strangers. The goal is to provide affected individuals with quick, easily accessible, and supportive assistance.
LARA is included in the German International Women’s Day fund in recognition of its work supporting women through empowerment, inclusion, and access to essential resources, aligned with the spirit and goals of IWD.
