PIH; Partners In Health
Our mission is a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc.
Ronald McDonald House Charities provides housing and a kitchen to cook food for low-income families of children undergoing surgeries and other medical treatments.
Berkeley Community Health Project
"Healthcare for People, Not Profit"
The philosophy of the Berkeley Free Clinic is that access to health care is a basic human right. We work as a collective to provide free client-centered services to communities in need and individuals who either cannot or do not access traditional health services. We strive to demystify medicine, to work within the principles of harm reduction, and to empower clients and communities as they take charge of their own health.
Acupuncturists Without Borders
AWB's mission is to interrupt the devastating effects of trauma by reducing suffering and helping individuals and communities find greater balance and resiliency. We use acupuncture as a powerful, simple, safe way of helping people "reset" their nervous systems to a greater state of calm, quiet and clarity. When a group experiences this relief from chaos, hope, determination and resiliency can begin to be restored, which allows communities to move forward.
Vitamin Angel Alliance, Inc.
Vitamin Angels provides free supplements to underserved low-income communities throughout the world.
